Ma soeur a un crayon jaune

"How do you say in French my sister has a yellow pencil?"

Ma soeur a un crayon jaune.

Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, William Holden. These are the stars of my all time favorite movie, Sabrina. No not the teenage witch. Sabrina is a romantic story about a young girl, Sabrina Fairchild, who falls head over heels for a rich young playboy, David Larrabee. Sabrina is the chauffeurs' daughter, who lives with her father, Thomas Fairchild, above the garage. Her crush is anything but a secret to her father, and he sends her to Paris in hopes that her infatuation with David will soon be forgotten.

She goes to Paris and returns to her home in Long Island a beautiful young woman still infatuated with David. David immediately takes notice in the new Sabrina and she becomes everything he had ever wanted. Now that David is after her, it's all Sabrina ever wanted. Or is it?

Sabrina is the best Audrey Hepburn movie in my opinion, and if you haven't already you should put that at the top of your Netflix Queue.

What is your favorite Audrey Hepburn movie?

  1. I haven't watched many or maybe any Audrey Hepburn movies. Maybe I can convince Scott to stock it in the kiosk. Yeah, right. Seriously, though I've never watched Sabrina, but will definitely check it out.

  2. I watched the latest version of Sabrina, starring Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond, and I loved it. If the Hepburn version holds a candle to the remake, then I will have to put it on my "to watch list."

  3. Dear Anita,

That would NEVER happen. Not even in a million years. Scott would classify Sabrina as a dated "chick flick". I'll bring it this weekend so we can watch it and enjoy it without commentary from the ScottBoxx :D

I've tried to watch the remake with Harrison Ford and I only lasted 5 minutes. Having already watched the original it just doesn't compare. You should definitely add it your "to watch list".
